Written in late Caroline minuscule transtioning to proto-Gothic, f.1 by a different scribe.

Corrections and annotation

Extensive marginal annotations in a 17th century hand.

Binding

Standard Tuckett binding, mid 19th century full brown calf over thick wooden boards (Charles Tuckett, binder to the British Museum, rebound many Durham manuscripts in the 19th century). Stains from the turn-overs of older binding faintly visible on f.1r; also four rust holes from metalwork of former clasp fitting.
