Official papers relating to Gibbons' employment with the Sudan Plantations Syndicate and the Sudan Gezira Board, chiefly comprising correspondence between Gibbons and his employers on terms of service, changes in duties including supervision of the North West Extension in 1950, chairmanship of the committee to plan the future management of the Managil Scheme in 1953 and employment as an agricultural adviser from 1954, Sudanisation of posts, pension arrangements and post service benefits. Also included are A. Gaitskell's notes on a meeting of British staff in 1947 to discuss future staffing and gratuities on termination of contract (SAD.889/4/5-14); terms of service for British staff employed on fixed long term contract by the Board (SAD.889/4/25-27) and Gibbons' contract of service, 1954 (SAD.889/4/36-40)
