Manuscript fragments still in bindings of books
Reference: Add.MS. 1950/Z
This section describes manuscript fragments still to be found in books. These can take the form of identifiable manuscript pieces re-used as wrappers, binding supports etc. which have not been removed form those books. The Add.MS. 1950/Z number is a virtual reference for the fragment only; the shelfmark of the book will need to be given to find or retrieve the fragment and its containing volume. In some cases, further fragments of the same manuscript may have previously been physically separated from the volume and will now be stored under a different reference number.
